| The Jets Coached by Bob Vorse edged a powerful Leominster Elite team in the Semi's to win 2-1 & advance to the Finals vs Team Pittsburgh, and for the 2nd straight year Pittsburgh lost in OT 2-1. Pitttsburgh got some revenge defeating the 2005 Champions the Rams 3-2 in OT. In the Final the Jets tied the game with 27 seconds left, on a goal mouth deflection by Matt Levesque assisted by Cody Warlia & Nick Caponi and send it into OT . Steve Russell had scored earlier for Pittsburgh assisted by Frank Tedesco & Adam Teresciewz.. Half way through the OT Steve Shaw's wrist shot found the mark and clinched the Championship for the Jets. The Jets compised of Freshmen players went on to win the Freshmen Nationals in Pittsburgh. Many of the same players were on the 06 Ball Hockey World Champions U20 in Aosta, Italy |
